Personal dental hygiene instruments at home?
Are there any? Most of the teeth hygiene instruments I know are at Ebay and they look at professional.

You mean like dental floss and things like that? You can totally buy your own set for home dental hygiene. Though I'd prefer my personal dental hygienist to do the job for me.

It feels so good after it is done!

Sadly, I've only been using just tooth brushes and tooth paste for teeth cleansing.

Yes Dan, you can get dental hygiene kits which include a plaque remover, teeth stain remover remover and denatal mirror that you can use at home.
A toothbrush and toothpaste are really never enough to keep your teeth clean. Of course you should floss and use a mouth wash or an oral irrigator too, but even then plaque still builds up around teeth. This can not only cause tooth decay but gum disease too, so it is important to remove plaque wether at home or by a visit to the hygienist.

Whichever kit you choose... ask your hygienist to show you the proper technique as not to damage the periodontal ligament and gum. Tongue scraper is great especially for those who have a gagging reflex. I prefer to use natural oral hygiene products which are safe on my teeth and gums.

I think that the most important are the brush and the toothpaste. Dentists are the only ones who properly take care of our teeth. I never use home kits or any other stuff but simply go to my dentist in Poland. There is no way to save on teeth but to have a regular check up . Dentalpoland gave me the chance to save a bit, around 30% as in the Uk the prices are killing. ClinicGirl

hmm... i think that you should brush 3 times a day... the feaaling is really good after brushing... its kind of refreshing.. and if you want, you can by those dental hygiene products in the market they really help... and you also need to your dentist once a month for regular check up..

You can always use toothbrush, dental floss, mouth wash, and toothpastes. Smile

I floss, but I hate how time consuming it is, definitely when I'm tired and ready for bed. I can't imagine the time involved with a dental hygiene kit. It also sounds complicated. I'd rather have my dentist do it.

Try doing it without giving much thought about it. While doing something you can floss or do your teeth care. Although I don't floss everyday, it's not advisable for me.
