RE: front tooth never came out
One more question from me ^^
![]() If nothing can be done about it... What will be the best way to fill that place? Using bridge or implant? I'm a Boxer so i need something strong...I'm very afraid from the dentists(had a very bad experience in the past)so that is why i'm asking here |

RE: front tooth never came out
Hi there! Sorry i can't really answer your question haha but i have a question!
You said you lost your baby tooth when you were 16? That happened to me as well, how long did your adult tooth take to grow in? I had to get my baby tooth pulled out and i don't see any sign of the tooth growing. |

RE: front tooth never came out
one of my front tooth was growing obliquely and slowly. Now i'm dreadfully suffering from the 4 wisdom teeth that have to grow up without any sign every three months

RE: front tooth never came out
I had a baby tooth that never came out because there was no permanent tooth behind it. That sounds like your case. The dentist extracted my baby tooth and put a bridge in. That's what they'll probably end up doing.

RE: front tooth never came out
take a xray film to see if u have the germ of ur permanent front teeth.
If u do and the permanent tooth never came out, then show the film to the dentist to fix n eliminate any 'obstacle' for the eruption, eg the thick gum, or the malposition of the tooth , the alveolar bone, the adjacent teeth.. => orthodontics, or small surgery will make it come out But if the xray film doesnt show any germ in the bone, then maybe u dont have the germ of the permanent teeth, or the teeth u lost at 16 yrs old was permanent one => consider the space left for that incisor. 1)if the space is enough for one tooth then prosthetic treatment can be proceeded right away. I recommend u to have implant rather than a bridge bcoz front teeth dont have to bear great forces of chewing; beside if u make a bridge, the adjacent teeth will be prepared to be smaller to fit to the bridge, thats the procedure to remove a significant amount of tooth structure to make it an abutment tooth, n if these teeth are still in the good condition, its so wasteful. ( of course, the gum, bone health must be checked up prior to the implant) 2) if the space is smaller for a new tooth, orthodontic intervention can straighten the bent teeth and make more space, or dentist will remove a lil of the teeth structure on the proximal face of the adjacent teeth to create more space for a new restoration, then make a bridge with the 2 adjacent teeth to be the abutment teeth. the crown would be done with the size n color visually appropriate with the other front teeth, even if the space is a bit smaller or bigger for a normal front teeth And if there isnt still enough space after the wearing braces n removing tooth structure, then make 2 bigger crowns for the other front teeth to close the space.this is a bad option coz u dont have a normal number of front teeth, so ur smile wont look natural |
