Teeth whitening question - how to whiten teeth?
I have tried almost every form of over the counter teeth whitening
, such a Crest whitening strips and multiple other products, but none seem to have the results that I am desiring. I have briefly researched teeth whitening through my family dentist. My question is concerning the fact that whether or not whitening through my dentist will help me or not since these other products have failed to bring me the results I have desired. Lastly, what are the risks of professional teeth whitening? Thanks |

RE: Teeth whitening question - how to whiten teeth?
Hi
Not a professional on htis subject, but my sister in law has been ahving her teeth professionally whitened for years...and no damage so far. I have found rinsing with a capful of hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 cup water will help. But..you have to eliminate coke, (caramel coloring), caffeine, some dark chocolate and black teas.anything that will stain your teeth. Guess you could go for Sprite and Green tea if you had to have htat caffeine fix. Had bleaching trays from my dentist, but that didn't last very long. Its expensive, but worth it if you can avoid the staining foods. Ask someone you see with super white teeth next time who their dentist is, then call and ask him questions! Good luck! |

RE: Teeth whitening question - how to whiten teeth?
I had my teeth whitened at a dental clinic and tey used the “Beyond” in-surgery bleaching method. The procedure took only 45 minutes. The bleaching gel is applied directly on your teeth 3 times and the use of special light will accelerate the whitening process. I'm very satisfied with the results. I was warned that the teeth may be a bit sensitive even a couple of days later, but it didn't hurt at all and I didn't even have to take any painkillers !
I know that hey also offer "Home bleaching system" – first a special custom made plastic mould will be prepared for you, after that you will be given special bleaching gel which you will apply into the mould and put on your teeth at home for 7 consecutive nights. I decided to go for the first method - paid a bit more but saved a lot of time !! |

Dentists use higher precentage of hydrogen peroxide, so if you didn't manage to have your teeth white enough, a dentist can probably achieve that for you. If you want to know more on the difference between OTC whitening kits and dentist's whitening procedures.

RE: Teeth whitening question - how to whiten teeth?
My understanding is that the risks really depend on how sensitive your teeth and gums are. Some of the professional products they use have decent results, but they can also cost you some pain. I've used a great product that works wonders and results in no sensitivity. They use the same ingredient as the dentists, hydrogen peroxide. You'd love this product, Platinum Whites.

I want to give you an advice: except apples and lemons, you can try the whitening process. I tried this two weeks ago when i went to Roumania (Bucharest) and my cousin recommended me to try the services of a good stomatology named EDUARDENT. I was very excited and surprised because they attended me imediately without appointenment and at very chip price and also i get a gift: a dental jewellery (swarovski)
very cool but you must go to Bucharest (it doesen't hurt at all and now i have a beutiful smile whit no secundary effects)http://www.eduardent.ro |
